MISSION
STATEMENT
Morning Star Academy seeks to glorify God by assisting families in guiding all children to transform into their full potential both spiritually and academically.
The staff at Morning Star Academy believes in creating an atmosphere based on compassion, mercy, and forgiveness with reconciliation. We strive to cultivate habits of discipline clothed in truth and love; while providing instruction that considers the whole child resulting in a growth that will last eternally.
BIBLE &
WORSHIP
At Morning Star Academy, we begin every day with worship as a way to set our focus on the Lord, to remove the distractions of the outside world, and focus our minds as well as hearts on Him.
Bible class at Morning Star Academy is focused on building students' relationships with God to ultimately understand who He has created them to be, guiding them to walk as children of Light.
Our Curriculum
Morning Star Academy uses the Masterbooks curriculum https://www.masterbooks.com/about to implement the subjects of Math, Science, and Launage Arts. For History, we use the Notgrass curriculum. https://shop.notgrass.com/about-notgrass-history

Additionally, enrichment classes have be created based on teachers and parent’s expertise. Some examples of these specials include art, cooking, Spanish, and music theory.
On Fridays, field trips in nature/ within the community, events that help to enhance the curriculum, service days, book clubs, and PE activities are scheduled.
Language Arts
• Emphasizes family, God, high character, nature, and wholesome literature.

History
• Immerses children in the lives of the Founding Fathers and Mothers as well as the important events and documents that formed America’s government.
•Children will gain a deep understanding of the principles that guided those who founded America’s Republic, including justice, liberty, duty, and equality.
Science
• Engaging activities, hands-on learning, and experiment videos make science exciting
Math
• Excitement, hands-on learning, fun activities, games, and meaning are woven into learning.
• We build a foundation of strong number sense and mathematical thinking.
